Landsort lighthouse
Landsort or Öja (which is the islands real name) is a small island (4,8 x 0,5 km) situated in northwest part of Northern Baltic. Landsort is the southernmost outpost of the Stockholm Archipelago. It is open sea from northeast to southwest. People that live here is in one or another way involved in the pilot station, which became an official pilot station in 1535.

The population is aprox. 25 people and nearly 10 cats.

Landsort is a very popular island to visit all around the year, but mostly during the summer.

There is one hostel and one B&B, a small village shop, a pottery/souvenir-shop, one pub and one guest harbour.

Landsort is also very popular for bird-watchers. They have a "bird-station" here there they among other things do bird banding and count flight of migratory birds.

There is regular ferry service to Landsort every day by Waxholmsbolaget.
